Its official now!

This week, I told my team at work that I am taking a year off to travel with my family. It turns out to be quite challenging to walk away from a safe situation, a guaranteed income and benefits, to step into the unknown where nothing is really guaranteed. But we are as ready as we can be at this point, and executing on our plan that we've spent so long discussing.

The first step: Prepare for the move! Most of our belongings will go to storage for the next year, and we'll be living out of suitcases, however unappealing that sounds, but in beautiful places like Greek island beach houses, Spanish villas, and a farm in the Cotswolds! But before we can leave, we have to do all the house work that has been put off until a rainy day, like finally replacing smoke detector batteries and burnt out oven lights, figuring out which furniture to keep and selling the rest.

So bear with us for the next month as we decide how to start on our journey, and how best to bring you along with us through this site. It's going to be the adventure of our lives!
